Top talents in the NFL

Football fans are all about two things: numerical lists and top talents in the NFL. The reason for such focus by fans on these hot topics is not far-fetched. Some football enthusiasts have an in-depth passion for the game. However, many others are only interested in knowing the top talents because they want to be assured their NFL predictions for the season are not knocked sideways.

Whichever category you belong to doesn’t matter. As long as you love sports and sports-related activities, you will appreciate this list of the top talents to watch in the NFL:

Justin Herbert (Chargers)

Justin Herbert has risen over the past 2 NFL seasons to become an excellent quarterback. During his rookie season, Herbert threw for more than 4,000 yards with ten interceptions and 31 touchdowns.

Just this past year, Herbert threw for more than 5,000 yards with 15 interceptions and 38 touchdowns. This NFL player only gets better with time and is presently one of the most skilful quarterbacks in the NFL.

Jeffery Simmons (Titans)

Jeffery Simmons is a former first-round pick whose third NFL season is his best. He successfully racked up 8.5 sacks, ranking second on the Titans with up to 62 pressures in 2021.

Simmons has always possessed high-ceiling potential and was able to show up more consistently this year than ever before. He’s one of the top talents to watch this season, as he still has lots of room to develop and grow.

Jonathan Taylor (Colts)

Jonathan Taylor is a top talent that continued to do his best after averaging over 2,000 rushing yards for every season in 3 years at Wisconsin. He had 1,169 rushing yards when he was just a rookie.

Taylor followed up these impressive stats to become the youngest player in NFL history with a minimum of 2,000 yards from scrimmage. He also tied the record for the most consecutive 100-yard rushing games as he tallied 1,811 rushing yards and 366 receiving yards only in 2021.

Taylor also led the NFL regarding scrimmage yards, rushing touchdowns (18), and rushing yards at only 22 years old. In addition, this outstanding and talented player averaged an astonishing 5.0 and 5.5 yards per attempt in the past two seasons.

If any health issue does not bog down Taylor, he will be one of the best and most efficient backs in the NFL for a long time.

Lamar Jackson (Ravens)

Lamar Jackson may still need to prove himself as a big-game/consistent passer since his future is already tied to Baltimore’s run-heavy system or elsewhere.

But then, most teams would love to inject Jackson’s unadulterated, MVP-level electricity into their carefully selected lineup. Jackson is one of those players with lightning-fast speed and an underrated arm. As long as he remains healthy, Lamar Jackson can never be counted out, thanks to his impressive talent in the NFL.

Nick Bosa (49ers)

Nick Bosa racked up nine sacks, 47 tackles, a forced fumble, two fumble recoveries, and an interception in 16 games. This talented player also had 14 starts during his rookie season.

The sky was the starting point for Nick Bosa going into his sophomore campaign. But unfortunately, he tore his anterior cruciate ligament in week two. He had to sit out for the remainder of the year.

Bosa was back in action in 2021 and successfully recorded 15.5 sacks with a carefully selected 90.0 pass-rush grade. He has been hyped as one of the top talented NFL players and is living up to it.

Joe Burrow (Bengals)

Joe Burrow has championship-level poise that has powered him through to the Super Bowl in year 2. This has confirmed him as a genuine top-10 material. But, of course, Burrow’s long-term durability may be a concern since he is not a definitive mobile signal caller. Moreover, Joe Cool has had a rather disturbing knee injury.

Ja’marr Chase (Bengals)

Ja Marr Chase was phenomenal during his rookie season as he ranked fourth in receiving yards – i.e., 1,455 – and third in receiving touchdowns (13) as he reunited with Joe Burrow, the quarterback.

Only a handful of receivers in the NFL could categorically say they were more dominant during one-on-one situations than Chase.

Chase’s presence was a powerful catalyst for the Bengals winning the AFC Championship that paved the way to the Super Bowl.

This may not be an exclusive list of the top talents in the NFL. But this list is comprehensive enough, as these are the players to watch this season.
