1. MBK, Siam

In Bangkok, MBK is the most legendary Shopping Center, welcomed by locals and tourists and busy with traders every day.

The shopping mall is divided into eight layers, with 2000 shops selling clothing, accessories, handbags, leather goods, luggage, furniture, electrical appliances, mobile phone, camera, stationery and DVD, etc.

Since it was opened in 1986, MBK has become a host of events, especially at the weekend. It is less stylish and exclusive than the surrounding Siam Exploration Center, the Siam center and the BELLE palace, but it contains a great range of goodness spread over 89,000 square meters and is cheap.

2. CentralWorld, Siam

Siam Paragon, Siam, Bangkok’s largest shopping center, is packed with a mind-boggling range of shops offering international brands, fashion clothes, high-tech products, bookstores and designer furniture, imported food, major banks, beauty salons and gourmet restaurants, and even a skating rink. It is not surprising that it is the largest mall in Thailand and among the largest in the world after renovation.

Covering about 550,000 square meters of retail space and the whole size of 830,000 square meters- it is larger than any shopping center in central Bangkok. In CentralWorld, you can find more than 500 stores, 100 restaurants and cafes, 15 screen theaters, Kid’s Zone and Learning Centers (talent star), two large department stores, and a trendy gourmet area, spacious supermarkets and an outdoor square for large scale activities like Bangkok’s official New Year Countdown Party. 3. Terminal 21, Sukhumvit Road

Terminal 21 makes the dream of traveling the world in downtown Bangkok come true, bringing seven international cities under one roof. Relax in a variety of shops in Tokyo, walk in Carnaby street in London, bagging bargains in an Istanbul souk or shop for something to fill your stomach at Fisherman’s Wharf in San Francisco.

4. EmQuartier, Phrom Phong

Opened in March 2015, EmQuartier, Phrom Phong is part of the project-EM District, spending billions of baht so as to make it transform into one of the largest retail centers in the city. The new EmQuartier, Phrom Phong stands on the opposite side of Sukhumvit Road. There are many brands, together with dozens and dozens of restaurants, offices, event halls and a cool atrium garden, as well as a waterfall.

6. Siam Center, Siam

Siam Center re-opened in January 2013, bringing a totally different shopping experience in Siam. It is home to more than 200 international famous brands and Thai brands, including some promising boutiques designed by local designers or well-known Thai fashion designers. Those slick renovations have made their fresh and fantastic ideas into goods, with a perfect mash-up of nature and technology.

Exquisite wooden carved horses stand in the entrance to welcome the customers and interactive televisions show how to choose clothes without entering a changing room. Although Siam Center has a history of over 40 years, it still is a leading fashion venue and surprises visitors.

Located next to Siam BTS, it is linked with Siam Paragon, a high-end boutique, by a covered corridor. Siam Center also houses many well-known brands, mainly for the young fashion crowd.

7. Siam Paragon, Siam

Siam Paragon is a popular shopping mall in Saim. It hosts a mix of many international high-end fashion brands and the largest aquarium in Southeast Asia, a cinema with 16 screens and a comprehensive selection of world cuisine. Located at the intersection of two light rail lines in front of Siam Station, it is regarded as the heart of Bangkok by many.

8. Siam Discovery Bangkok

Shopping in the Siam Discovery will give you a pleasant and specific experience. The goods sold there are exquisite and fine. Located in the heart of Pratunam, it’s around a ten-minute walk from either Ratchathewi or Chidlom BTS Skytrain, so it is easier than other clothing markets.

10. Pantip Plaza, Pratunam-the Most Famous Bangkok Electronics Mall

Pantip Plaza is the mother of all IT shops in Thailand and has been honored with the legendary position. Pantip Plaza is home to all kinds of old and new computers and various related-accessories. Located in an ordinary building on Pittori Road, notorious for pirated software, DVD and more filthy information. What attracts buyers are the incomparable specials and cheap technical experts.

IT City

IT city on the fifth floor is the largest IT shop in Pantip Plaza, selling the latest equipment. Some staff can speak fluent English and give details about each item and if you need some information about particular goods, it is a good place to go. Most IT brand can be found there and IT city is a best choice as it is a trusted and well-known retail store in Bangkok.
