The Civil Services Examination is a country-wide competitive examination in India held by the Union Public Service Commission for recruitment to the Indian Administrative Service, Indian Foreign Service, and Indian Police Service. Can Candidates from Other States Apply for Both the Exams?

Yes! It is the constitutional right of every Indian who fulfils the eligibility criteria to appear in any PSC examinations. Anyone with an Indian passport is eligible to take the PSC examination.

In case of BPSC, a candidate who does not have a Bihar domicile can appear in the exam. However, they will not be eligible for reservations of any kind. The aspirants from another state can appear in the exam as an unreserved category(UR) candidate.
