Bard Spells 5e (5th Edition) for DND
Bards in 5th edition receive only a few spells unique to them or that reflect their personality as storytellers or musicians. There isn’t much uniqueness in the bard’s spellcasting ability besides vicious mockery. One of their class features is to steal spells from wizards; although that will be interesting if there is already a wizard in the party, this does little to spice up encounters.
Bard’s versatility is astounding. Bards can fill almost every role in the party since they have access to all skill sets, expertise, and full casting. A Lore Bard is a supportive bard that can cast spells and offer support in combat, while a Valor Bard may be more of a front-line melee character who can use their spellcasting and support skills on the battlefield.Bard .

Bard Class Features
Hit Points: D8 is a great amount for a full casting class, but unless you choose Valor to boost your AC, you won’t get to rush into melee often.
Generally, Reflex saves don’t outright disable you, and Charisma saves are extremely rare. Dexterity is useful for avoiding fireballs, but most spells that need Reflex saves won’t outright disable you either.
Bards rely totally on their spells and special abilities, so light armor and a few weapons will not give you far to go. It’s true that you get three skills of your choice, which opens up a lot of great possibilities.
Bards are full spellcasters, like wizards or clerics, and can cast spells supported by their Charisma. The bard uses the “spells known” mechanic almost like a sorcerer, so your skills are limited to the spells you know. Every level, you’ll replace one of your known spells, so don’t worry if you select a spell at the coffee level and find it useless as you level up.
Bards are also proficient in three instruments. As a Bard, you would use a musical instrument as a magical focus, so generally you would use a flute, a lute, or a hand-held harp, but the exact instrument you choose has little to no mechanical impact.
